Matt (he/him) spent 13 years in corporate IT before leaving the industry entirely in search of a better work/life balance. He then spent 5 years as a freelance copyeditor & proofreader before Jem came knocking with an offer he couldn’t refuse: needing someone with both the technical and interpersonal skills (as well as the patience of a saint) to manage the day-to-day operations of Ultimately Better, allowing her to focus on what she does best – coding performant websites! When Matt isn’t working he is usually spending time with his wife and 3 cats, watching TV, or playing video and board games. A retired hobbyist football & baseball/softball player, you can often find him slowly pounding the pavements of north Nottinghamshire (entering the odd race, usually finishing dead last), and in the warmer months he likes to get out on his e-bike.
