The Best Businesswomen Awards – the UK’s biggest celebration of woman in business since 2015 – have released the names of their 2026 finalists and UB are thrilled to announce that founder and Managing Director Jem Turner has been selected as a finalist in the Best Businesswoman in Business Services category.
The Best Businesswomen Awards were established to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women across all businesses and industries. These awards celebrate the achievements of women who are not only building successful businesses but also breaking down barriers, creating impact, and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
Shropshire-based entrepeneur Jem Turner has been building websites for over 20 years with her work covered in industry publications such as The Register, WP Tavern as well as by WordPress security specialists Wordfence.
An openly autistic founder in an industry still dominated by men, Jem has built her career and her business whilst working against two sets of assumptions at once: what a “technical” leader is supposed to look like, and what a neurodiverse person can and cannot do. That experience has shaped Ultimately Better from the start; as an accredited Living Wage Employer with accommodations-first hiring practices offering flexible working, tailored interviews, and support for staff managing disabilities or neurodivergence, we help give our team room to prove those assumptions wrong too.
Ultimately Better Ltd is a specialist WordPress and WooCommerce agency based in Shropshire. We design, build, and support high-performance websites for businesses, charities, and schools, with a focus on long-term client relationships and lasting results.
Winners will be announced at the Gala Final in October 2026. Every finalist is guaranteed either a silver or gold award.
